Board + Train

At Iron Oak Dog Co., we understand that every dog is unique, which is why our Board + Train services are designed to cater to their individual needs. Our expert trainers focus on building a strong foundation of trust and communication while creating a structured environment that promotes learning and growth.

Your pup stays in our home, living alongside our personal dogs, instead of a commercial kennel environment. We take a maximum of three dogs in for Board + Train at any given time. This ensures the highest level of attention and care for your companion.

Private Instruction

Tailored to meet the unique needs of both you and your canine companion, these one-on-one sessions provide personalized instruction in a variety of environments: in home, one of our locations, and even online! Our professional trainers utilize a proprietary dual reinforcement training system to foster effective communication, produce real reliability, and strengthen the bond between you and your dog.

Whether you’re addressing behavioral issues, enhancing obedience skills, or preparing for specialized training, our private lessons equip you with the tools and knowledge necessary for lasting success. Programs & Pricing

  • Board + Train

    Board + Train programs are available for puppies as young as 8 weeks of age through advanced dogs ready for public access training and off leash obedience. Minimum program duration is based on the goals set during a consultation with our trainers. Examples include puppy development (15 days), basic obedience (30 days), and combined basic and advanced obedience (45 days). Additional time may be required for certain behavioral issues.

  • In-Home Sessions

    Let us come to you, either at your home or another location of your choice, to conduct training in the environment(s) where you need it most. In addition to our standard offerings, this option is ideal for behavioral concerns that are only expressed in certain locations or under certain circumstances. We serve the I-83 corridor from Baltimore. MD to York, PA. Locations outside of this service area may incur an additional travel fee.

  • Private Sessions

    Meet us for training at your choice of our preferred locations in Baltimore County, MD and York County, PA. Private sessions are a cost effective way to receive customized dog training and handler instruction. From selection of training tools, rewards, and trained skills, every aspect of our private training programs is customized to produce enthusiastic and responsive companions, and lasting results with maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

    Five Sessions $625

  • Virtual Sessions

    Our five star rated dog training is also available completely online. We’ve successfully coached many dog owners through obedience training and behavior modification using this format. All you need is a smartphone or computer with a webcam, and high speed internet. Dog owners all over the country and in Europe have been utilizing this training format to train with us. With many time slots available from early morning through the evening, we can find a time convenient for you.
