Training Programs

  • 3 Week Board + Train

    The Foundation Program teaches the most critical skills required of a companion dog to successfully navigate common environments and scenarios encountered in everyday life. Dogs must be at least 4 months old.

    Obedience

    Your dog will learn our communication system, using rewards and pressure, to create clarity in expectations and a positive attitude throughout training. Your dog learns to come when called, to go to place, and leash walking.

    Lifestyle

    We focus on polite crate entry/exit, waiting at thresholds, and calm behavior in the home. These skills produce a well mannered companion who is easy to have around the house.

    Behavior Modification

    We stop nuisance behaviors like jumping, demand barking, and pulling on leash. For dogs who need help feeling more comfortable in their own skin we build confidence by creating a sense of predictability and agency throughout training.

  • 3 Week Board + Train

    The Adventure Program is designed to provide owners with a reliable on and off leash adventure companion on the trails, in the woods, and around town. Requires completion of the Foundation program.

    Obedience

    We build off of the Foundation program to complete full basic obedience training that meets or exceeds the UKC Socialized Pet Obedience Test standard, guaranteed. We also complete remote collar training for safety and reliability off leash.

    Lifestyle

    This level focuses on building tolerance for physical handling and grooming activities. Dogs develop additional impulse control in close proximity to other animals, dogs, and people.

    Behavior Modification

    We address moderate behavioral concerns such as counter surfing, fence fighting, and reactivity on walks. The result is a trustworthy companion at home and away with the required training to navigate new and novel situations with grace.

  • 3 Week Board + Train

    The Finished Program achieves the highest levels of reliability and neutrality resulting in a companion who can be included in all aspects of your life. Requires completion of the Adventure program.

    Reliability and precision of on and off leash obedience behaviors that meets or exceeds the UKC Companion Dog standard, guaranteed. These skills have applications in daily life, on the trail, and in high traffic public environments.

    Lifestyle

    Public access training focuses on impulse control and neutrality in highly distracting environments. This ensures control even when the world around you feels chaotic.

    Behavior Modification

    We push the envelop for dogs with prior history of reactivity by working in extremely close proximity to other dogs, high arousal situations, and circumstances that are likely to elicit defensive responses.
